Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Principal/Senior Principal CAL Systems Engineers for an on-site role in Linthicum, MD. The position involves developing calibration algorithms, supporting software engineers, and ensuring robust embedded implementations.

You will collaborate with software teams and participate in lab and field testing to validate performance across RF sensor systems. Required are a Secret clearance, MATLAB experience, and C/C++ proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or related field with required experience.
• Current/active U.S. Government Secret Clearance is required.
• Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
• Experience with MATLAB for data analysis and/or algorithm development.
• Domain experience in sensor simulations for RF sensors.
• Experience with integration and test of RADAR, SIGINT, or EW systems.
• Experience programming in C/C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop calibration algorithms and support software engineers through code generation and implementation.
• Collaborate with software teams to translate Cal algorithms into tactical code (C/C++, MATLAB/Python).
• Define interfaces, data flows, and constraints for robust embedded implementations.
• Support lab and field testing to validate algorithm behavior and performance.
• Produce technical docs including Cal concepts, test plans, procedures, and verification evidence.
• Participate in reviews and integration activities to ensure alignment with requirements.
