Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Oxnard, CA is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal CAD/CAM Engineer to design, model, and migrate 3D data into modern CM tools. You will collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to ensure drawings meet requirements and standards.

Responsibilities include creating 3D models, leading CM workflow changes, and preparing detailed production drawings using SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD. A Top Secret clearance is required to start.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree and 3 years.
• US Citizenship and current Top Secret clearance required; SCI and Program Special access eligibility.
• Experience with CAD tools: SolidWorks, Siemens NX, CATIA or AutoCAD.
• Experience with CAD CM tools: PDM, Teamcenter, or Windchill PLM.

Responsibilities

• Create and finalize 3D models for components and assemblies.
• Migrate models and drawings into new CM tools (SolidWorks PDM/PDМ).
• Drive workflow changes and improvements in CM tools.
• Determine scaling of designs and insert reference planes and dimensions.
• Prepare specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
• Prepare complete production detail drawings.
• Contribute design modifications to improve quality.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and technicians to meet requirements.
