vTech Solution is seeking a highly experienced Principal C#/.NET Engineer to modernize a large legacy mainframe system into a clean, scalable .NET application. You will drive code refactoring, define data architecture with EF Core, optimize APIs and batch processing, and ensure high-quality delivery in a mission-critical environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in C# and .NET Core/.NET 6/7/8/10 development.
• Strong expertise in Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and asynchronous programming (async/await).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and software architecture principles.
• Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, Git, SonarQube, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud services.

Job Summary:

Seeking a highly experienced Principal C#/.NET Engineer to lead the modernization of a large legacy mainframe system into a clean, scalable, and high-performance .NET application. The role involves driving code refactoring, defining Entity Framework Core data architecture, optimizing APIs and batch processing, and ensuring high-quality delivery in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Refactor complex legacy-converted code into maintainable C#/.NET solutions.
• Lead design, optimization, and migrations using Entity Framework Core.
• Build and enhance ASP.NET Core Web APIs and service layers.
• Improve performance, scalability, and overall code quality.
• Define development standards and mentor engineering team members.
• Ensure strong testing, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and secure coding practices.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• 10+ years of experience in C# and .NET Core/.NET 6/7/8/10 development.
• Strong expertise in Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and asynchronous programming (async/await).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, PostgreSQL, and software architecture principles.
• Knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks, Git, SonarQube, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud services.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Experience in legacy system modernization projects.
• Knowledge of mainframe systems and batch processing.
• Expertise in performance tuning for large-scale systems.
• Experience working in regulated, high-accuracy environments.

Special Considerations:

• Initial 30 days require 100% onsite presence.
• Role involves working in a mission-critical, high-stakes environment demanding high code quality and security.
• In-person interview required.

Scheduling:

• First 30 days: full-time onsite work.
• Thereafter: hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
