Job description

GRS North America Claims is seeking a highly motivated senior individual contributor to join our Claims Enablement team. In this newly created role, this individual will be responsible for translating Claims data & insights into actionable analysis for our underwriting segments. The role will focus on our Casualty lines of business and will collaborate with Claims partners and external teams to build a backlog of business questions that Claims analytics can address through special project analysis. The work done in this role will have an immediate and lasting impact on Underwriting strategy and profitability improvement.

Responsibilities

  1. Work with Claims Enablement strategy directors, Claims field leaders, and underwriting partners to identify critical business questions that would benefit from deep Claims analysis and prioritize work based on expected impact.
  2. Establish standards for high-quality Claims/Underwriting analytical work to maximize impact of insights.
  3. Develop expertise in Claims data by understanding the business mix, operational strategies, and environmental factors affecting the Casualty lines.
  4. Communicate findings and insights effectively to senior leadership and diverse audiences to drive organizational action.
  5. Create content that translates analysis into insights for audiences with varying technical backgrounds, including clear presentations of findings and recommendations.
  6. Mentor junior analysts within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 8+ years of relevant business analysis or related experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in analytical or financial roles, with strong financial and analytical skills preferred.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools is desired.
  • Understanding of Claims processes and operations is a plus but not required.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong presentation, communication, organization, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Creative, curious, data-savvy, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.
  • Supportive of organizational change and able to demonstrate value.
