Mid-Atlantic Engineering Group seeks a Lead/Principal Bridge Engineer to head our expansion into South Carolina. You will direct bridge design, inspections, and rehabilitation projects while building a new regional team and office.

You are a seasoned professional with 10+ years of bridge experience and a PE license, ready to develop client relationships, win work, and provide technical oversight. The role includes travel with a company truck and competitive six-figure compensation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of bridge engineering experience with leadership background.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Strong client management skills with a track record of winning and managing projects.
• Technical expertise in AASHTO standards, DOT regulations, and bridge software.

Responsibilities

Lead Our Expansion & Build Something Great!

Location: South Carolina (Must reside in the state or be willing to relocate)

Travel Requirements: 50% or less, with most travel being day trips within a few hours. Some overnight stays may be necessary. The company covers all travel expenses and provides a truck and all necessary gear for inspections. There will also be travel requirement to Virginia where the company is headquartered.

Once a team is built there will be less travel requirements for this role.

• Technical expertise in AASHTO standards, DOT regulations, and bridge software (SAP2000, MIDAS Civil, LARSA 4D, AutoCAD).
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers into future leaders.
