Qualifications

• PhD, MD or equivalent with 10+ years in neuroscience or translational biomarker science.
• Experience developing translational or clinical biomarker strategies in drug development.
• Ability to translate hypotheses into biomarker strategies that inform clinical decisions.
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead integrated biomarker strategies across Neuroscience programs with cross-functional teams.
• Translate disease biology into translational hypotheses and fit-for-purpose biomarker approaches.
• Define biomarker-driven questions: target engagement, dose, patient stratification, and go/no-go decisions.
• Ensure biomarkers are focused, scalable, and linked to actionable outcomes.
• Serve as biomarker representative on program teams and advise decision making.
• Collaborate with Discovery, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Data Science, and more to define translational strategies.
• Lead interpretation of biomarker and clinical datasets and translate findings into recommendations.
• Identify opportunities to understand heterogeneity, response, and drivers of outcomes.
• Develop strategies using fluids, imaging, or digital modalities as appropriate.
• Evaluate emerging biomarker technologies and analytical approaches.
• Communicate strategies, results, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to biomarker scientists and foster collaboration.
• Drive publications, presentations, and external collaborations with experts.
