Qualifications

For our client, we are seeking a Principal BI Analyst to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will lead business intelligence visualization standards and governance while helping shape scalable reporting solutions that support complex operational decisions.

You will partner closely with Data & Analytics leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business problems into clear specifications, actionable insights, and high-performing dashboards.

The position also includes mentoring team members, strengthening delivery practices, and improving how data visualization is used across the organization.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $118,691 – $189,906 annually

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of data visualization best practices and governance standards
• Analyze complex business problems and prepare detailed specifications
• Act as a technical resource for the team on system issues and work processes
• Conduct thorough discovery to understand and execute assignments
• Identify and implement best practices within the department
• Collaborate with Data & Analytics leadership on Tableau and visualization strategies
• Mentor junior team members on development best practices
• Design high-performance data visualization solutions for scalability and maintainability
• Facilitate cross-functional problem-solving sessions for optimal project delivery
• Provide project status updates and communicate risks to stakeholders
• Assist in employee development initiatives and training

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree where required
• 8+ years of experience in a related field, or 10+ years in lieu of a degree
• Facets and healthcare claims processing knowledge is essential
• Familiarity with CMS guidelines
