Job summary

satoriq is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to own the core backend systems of a high-throughput production platform. You will reshape existing services for reliability and scale, collaborating with senior engineering leadership and delivering production-ready components.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, designing microservices with strong guarantees, building event-driven workflows, and operating cloud-native infrastructure on Kubernetes and GCP.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building backend or distributed systems in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Python, or similar backend languages.
• Experience designing and evolving microservices, APIs, and event‑driven systems.
• Hands-on experience with high-volume or unstructured data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve backend services that process high-volume operational data in production.
• Own and reshape distributed systems for ingestion, transformation, routing, and persistence workflows.
• Lead the decomposition and redesign of legacy services into scalable, fault‑tolerant systems.
• Build microservices with strong guarantees around performance, availability, and correctness.
• Work with event‑driven architectures, messaging systems, and data pipelines at scale.
• Architect and operate cloud-native infrastructure using Kubernetes and GCP.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across services and data flows.
• Partner with engineering leadership on long‑term platform architecture and technical direction.
• Ship production systems iteratively with a high bar for reliability and quality.
• Collaborate with modern AI tools to accelerate development and production features.
