Job summary

Itcharm is seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead modernization of a large, business-critical platform for a US-based client. This hands-on leadership role blends architecture ownership with active implementation and close collaboration with engineering teams and CTO/CIO-level executives.

You will define the target architecture and drive the transformation from monolithic to modular, scalable solutions on .NET and Microsoft Azure, shaping API design, security, observability, and CI/CD

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering and solution architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess the current architecture, dependencies, constraints and risks.
• Define the target architecture and create a phased modernization roadmap.
• Lead transition from monolith to modular architecture.
• Design scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions on Azure.
• Make key decisions on APIs, integrations, data management and service communication.
• Establish architecture principles, standards and development guidelines.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the modernization of a large, business-critical platform for a US-based client.

This hands-on leadership role combines strategic architecture ownership with active involvement in technical implementation. You will collaborate directly with engineering teams, senior business stakeholders, and CTO/CIO-level executives.

Your primary goal will be to define the platform’s target architecture and lead its transformation from a monolithic system into a modern, modular, scalable solution built on .NET and Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Assess the existing architecture, technical dependencies, constraints, and risks.
• Define the target architecture and develop a phased modernization roadmap.
• Lead the transition from a monolithic system to a modular architecture.
• Design scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable solutions on Azure.
• Make key architectural decisions related to APIs, integrations, data management, and service communication.
• Establish architecture principles, engineering standards, and development guidelines.
• Define approaches to security, observability, monitoring, logging, and production readiness.
• Improve CI/CD practices and support reliable software delivery.
• Work closely with engineering teams during implementation and help resolve complex technical challenges.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture.
• Strong expertise in .NET, C#, and ASP.NET Core.
• Deep practical knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Front Door, Redis, Service Bus, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
• Proven experience modernizing large monolithic systems and transitioning them to modular architectures.
• Strong background in API and enterprise integration design.
• Solid understanding of security, observability, performance, scalability, and production readiness.
• Experience designing and improving CI/CD processes.
• Ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
• Experience communicating architectural decisions and risks to CTO/CIO-level stakeholders.
• Fluent English for direct collaboration with a US-based client.

Nice to Have

• Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design, CQRS, or Event-Driven Architecture.
• Experience in insurance, fintech, or another regulated industry.
