Job summary

NVIDIA in Santa Clara, CA is seeking a Principal-level individual contributor to shape a production vehicle dynamics simulation framework spanning model fidelity, parameter adaptation, software interfaces, validation, and integration.

You will lead the technical vision, develop production-quality C++ interfaces, build scalable workflows, and partner with planning, controls, and safety teams while mentoring engineers through design, debugging, testing and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of industry experience in vehicle dynamics or related fields.
• Deep knowledge of vehicle dynamics, tire-road interaction, and multibody simulation.
• Strong C++ production software and Python analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Define technical vision, architecture, and roadmap for vehicle dynamics simulation across multiple workflows.
• Develop production-quality C++ interfaces for multibody models.
• Create scalable workflows for model selection, parameter identification, adaptation, and validation.
• Translate trajectory and control commands into time-aligned outputs.
• Set parameters, boundaries, metrics, and release gates; mentor engineers.
