Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Principal Architect for Stock Plan Technology to lead architectural vision and modernization efforts. You will partner with business leaders, product teams, and enterprise architects to align technology investments with enterprise standards.

The role requires deep expertise across architecture domains, leadership for cross-functional teams, and a focus on scalable, compliant financial platforms that support employee stock plans and related workflows.

Formación

• 15+ years of progressive technology experience; 5+ years in a Solution/Enterprise/Principal Architect role within financial services.
• Proven track record leading large-scale legacy platform modernization programs (decomposition to cloud-native microservices).
• Deep expertise across application, data, integration, and infrastructure architectures; hands-on with Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle/PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Kafka/MQ.

Responsabilidades

• Define and evolve current- and future-state architectures across platforms and business priorities.
• Drive decisions to move from monoliths to modular, API-first, cloud-native architectures.
• Create architectural principles, ADRs, reference architectures, and governance across modernization initiatives.
• Improve system stability, availability, observability, performance, and disaster recovery in modernization efforts.
• Translate technical strategies into business outcomes for executive alignment and ROI.
