As we transition from a services-based model to a productized platform, we are expanding our architecture team. We are seeking a Principal Architect to define and drive the architectural vision, ensuring scalability, security, and innovation across all technology initiatives.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Architect and Design
  • Define, document, and communicate architecture patterns and standards for Konovo’s global healthcare insights platform.
  • Champion scalability, performance, security, and reliability in all system designs.
  • Lead Technical Strategy
    • Drive product engineering efficiency by supporting our teams with best practices, patterns and tools that help them be more effective.
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and conduct POCs to guide long-term technical decision-making.
  • Mentor and Empower Teams
    • Provide hands-on technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams across multiple projects.
    • Coach and develop engineers in best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate Globally
  • Work closely with teams and stakeholders across geographies, ensuring architectural consistency and adherence to company-wide standards.
  • Champion effective communication and knowledge sharing across a distributed organization – bridging teams.
  • Drive Technical Excellence
    • Oversee critical architectural reviews, design discussions, and code reviews.
    • Advocate for high-quality, maintainable, performant and secure software solutions in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • Promote consistent software craftsmanship, quality, patterns, and a unified platform for our employees and customers.
  • Actively participate in brainstorming sessions, sprint planning, and technical deep-dives .
  • Identify opportunities for advanced AI/ML integrations, data-driven insights, and next-generation platform capabilities.
  • Optimize
    • Ensure scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
    • Establish best practices for data management, security, and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO27001).

What We’re Looking For:

  • A self-starter with an ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
  • 12+ years of experience in software architecture, cloud infrastructure, and system design – including designing and supporting complex, scalable systems .
  • Expertise in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, or Go.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed systems.
  • Deep understanding of microservices and serverless architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven systems .
  • Experience working with big data, AI/ML workflows, and real-time analytics platforms .
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks, IAM, and compliance standards .
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Passion for innovation and a drive to make a meaningful impact.
  • Agile methodology and tools (experience leading agile transformation or working at scale is a plus).
  • Software architecture and design patterns for distributed, high-availability systems.
  • Engineering excellence, best practices in software craftsmanship, testing, APIs, frameworks, and enabling products.
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines , including security, QA, and monitoring best practices.
  • Cloud technology (AWS preferred) in a SaaS environment.
  • Supporting business-critical systems and guiding teams to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and reliability issues.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in computer science (or equivalent). An advanced degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
