Job summary

Jobtailor invites an accomplished Enterprise/Software Architect to lead architecture across Streaming Hub, Programmatic Demand, and Audience/Identity platforms. You will translate market needs into end-to-end designs and produce blueprints, ADRs, and reference architectures.

You will guide roadmaps, reduce technical debt, and lead cloud-native design with Kubernetes and microservices while ensuring privacy-centric data strategies and programmatic interoperability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software architecture/engineering.
• 5+ years leading distributed, high-scale, low-latency systems.
• Experience with Go, Java, or Scala; gRPC/REST; Kafka/Pub-Sub; and columnar/NoSQL stores.
• Architecture experience for ad-serving and SSP platforms, preferably premium video/CTV.
• Knowledge of unified decisioning, mediation, forecasting, and yield protections.
• Working knowledge of header bidding, OpenRTB, PMP, curated deals, supply-path optimization, and auction transparency.
• Experience building or integrating DSP workflows.
• Practical understanding of identity and addressability concepts, including first-party graphs, UID2/PPID, and clean rooms.
• Experience architecting privacy-centric audience and measurement capabilities.
• Experience with Kubernetes, service mesh, autoscaling, OpenTelemetry, and resilience engineering.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud.
• Strong security and privacy patterns, including OAuth/OIDC, tokenization, encryption, secrets, least privilege, and auditability.
• FinOps sensibilities.
• Hands-on experience with API management and API security standards.
• Proven ability to turn ambiguous business needs into roadmaps, blueprints, and execution plans.
• Excellent communication with senior product leaders, engineering, sales, and client-facing teams.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Relevant work experience: 15 Years +
• Experience with multi-cloud architecture is a plus.
• Experience with live events/live linear ad decisioning, SSAI, or programmatic live sports/news is a bonus.
• Knowledge of curated supply strategies and buyer curation tools is a plus.
• Working experience with AI/ML and analytics platforms is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the architecture interface between Product and Engineering for Streaming Hub, Programmatic Demand, Audience/Identity, Measurement, and Revenue Science platforms.

• Shape standards for data contracts, identity, consent, measurement, and programmatic interoperability.
• Lead strategic initiatives to grow technical capability, improve software quality and velocity, and reduce technical debt.
• Establish common practices enabling seamless interaction among software and systems.
• Advise leaders on build, buy, extend, customize, and deprecate strategies.
• Facilitate architecture reviews and de-risk delivery through proofs of concept and reference implementations.
• Review solution designs produced internally and by third-party suppliers.
• Develop strategies and guidelines for cloud governance, technology-stack selection, capability development, and systems deprecation.
• Lead design forums and cross-functional architecture reviews.
• Drive migration plans, modernization, platform reuse, operational excellence, mentoring, and evolution of Enterprise Architecture practices.
