Job summary

Ford Pro is seeking a Principal Engineer/Architect to lead architectural vision and build data-driven SaaS platforms, APIs, and frontends for fleet management. You will guide data-intensive pipelines, back-end services, and web/mobile interfaces at scale.

You will mentor engineers, shape product strategy with cross-functional teams, and drive architectural blueprints and capacity planning for multi-quarter initiatives while ensuring code quality and system reliability across the stack.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience with leadership and architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
• 5+ years designing scalable, data-intensive web apps and SaaS.
• 5+ years API development in Java/Kotlin with React or AngularJS.

Responsibilities

• Architect and drive the technical roadmap for large-scale SaaS apps.
• Mentor and coach engineers to raise technical excellence.
• Partner with Product/Design to translate business needs into architecture.
• Scope, estimate, and blueprint multi-quarter enterprise initiatives.
• Lead hands-on development of architectural components and projects.
• Elevate engineering standards and promote new tooling and patterns.
• Lead root cause analysis and proactive problem management.
