Join our Cybersecurity and Digital Risk (CDR) team to help us lead the airline industry in cyber-safety. Our mission is to embed cybersecurity into United Airlines’ DNA by reducing business risk through strong cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to mature cloud security capabilities, including security architecture, threat modeling, and security evaluations for public/private/hybrid clouds.
• Demonstrate expertise in domains such as security, resiliency, infrastructure, platform, application, identity management, and zero trust.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and develop security and resiliency principles.
• Develop and promote security architecture strategies, frameworks, and patterns.
• Define and implement security standards and frameworks.
• Train and coach teams on CI/CD security integration, testing, and vulnerability assessment tools for Cloud.
• Champion secure infrastructure-as-code practices for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments.
• Ensure programs meet their intended purpose and metrics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required
• 7+ years of technical experience, especially in cloud architecture
• Expertise in AWS cloud technologies, including architecture reviews and standards
• Knowledge of security protocols, cryptography, and secure network architectures
• Experience with scripting and automation tools
• Familiarity with compliance standards (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.)
• Ability to manage business and external partners
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in related fields
• Certifications like CCIE, CISSP, AWS Solution Architect Pro., etc.
• 10+ years of technical experience, with 7+ in cloud
• Expertise in IAM, network security, data encryption, and security automation
