The Role

A Presidio Principal Architect leads presales discovery, analysis, architecture design, and proposal development for solutions aligned with customer outcomes. This role involves direct client engagement, leveraging presales methodologies, technical expertise, and key relationships to recommend solutions that deliver long-term value.

Travel Requirements

Expected travel up to 30%. Location: any in the United States.

Responsibilities

1. Work with enterprise account teams and customers to accelerate cloud adoption.
2. Drive customer engagements to maximize cloud benefits through application modernization.
3. Qualify, develop, and close deals involving migrating and modernizing applications, including large-scale migrations and refactoring.
4. Collaborate with teams to help customers migrate and modernize on AWS.
5. Design modern architectures optimized for agility, performance, resiliency, and cost.
6. Assess customer architectures and develop migration plans.
7. Coordinate with Business Development and Partner teams to manage customer programs like AWS Migration Acceleration.

Desired Skills and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
2. 10+ years relevant experience.
3. 5+ years AWS solutions experience, 3+ years presales.
4. 2+ years design and implementation in applications/infrastructure.
5. 4+ years in technology domains like software development, cloud, security, etc.
6. 7+ years IT consulting experience.
7. Experience with AWS from a DevOps perspective.

Preferred Skills

1. Experience in software development or internet industries.
2. Experience migrating legacy solutions to the cloud.
