Job summary

Blue Signal Search is seeking a Principal Architect to join its leadership team in Reno, NV. This established architecture and design firm offers an opportunity to influence the practice, mentor designers, and lead projects that impact regional communities.

The ideal candidate is a Registered Architect with 10+ years of experience, proven leadership of complex projects, and strong client coordination. You will guide planning through construction and drive design excellence across education,

Qualifications

  • Registered Architect license required.
  • Approximately 10 or more years of progressive architectural experience, including leadership of complex building projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing project teams while mentoring developing professionals.
  • Previous experience with K-12 educational facilities is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, construction documentation, construction administration, and consultant coordination.
  • Proficiency with Revit and other industry-standard architectural design software.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to balance technical excellence with strong client relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural leadership through all project phases from planning to construction.
  • Serve as trusted client advisor and coordinate with consultants and stakeholders.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams to meet design, budget, and schedule goals.
  • Mentor architects, designers, and staff for professional growth.
  • Review documentation for codes, regulations, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to strategic planning, operations, and business development.
  • Support multiple projects while maintaining exceptional client service and performance.

  • Support the successful execution of multiple projects while maintaining exceptional client service and project performance.
Skill Set
  • Registered Architect (RA) license required.
  • Approximately 10 or more years of progressive architectural experience, including leadership of complex building projects.
