Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Applied Scientist to push the science behind AI solutions for AWS data centers. You will work on computer vision models, smart retrieval algorithms, and safety-critical reasoning to improve latency and accuracy in a production environment.

You will own the full lifecycle from research to deployment, collaborating with software teams to translate insights into scalable, end-to-end systems that keep AWS infrastructure reliable and cost-efficient.

Qualifications

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Statistics or in a highly quantitative field.
• Strong problem solving ability.
• Good skills in Python (or similar language).
• Strong communication and data presentation skills.
• Proven track record of delivery.

Responsabilités

• Develop computer vision models for AWS infrastructure inside data centers.
• Build smart retrieval algorithms and reduce model hallucination for safety-critical outcomes.
• Improve latency and performance of the generative AI service.
• Publish results and contribute to production deployment.
