Position Title: Principal Analytical Chemist

Position Type: Contract‑to‑hire

Salary range: $50–65/hour

Responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams in technology transfer and development projects.
• Design and advance analytical chemistry methods and process improvements.
• Develop and validate analytical techniques at the process scale.
• Support the formulation of R&D proposals, project plans, and budgeting.
• Author protocols, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Evaluate and implement new analytical technologies for process enhancement.
• Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and drug substances for clinical registration and in‑house use.
• Define analytical specifications for materials and product control.
• Collaborate on site‑based process troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Mentor and manage direct reports in a collaborative, growth‑focused environment.
• Maintain rigorous documentation and compliance with industry standards and GLP.
• Champion safety and environmental stewardship in all activities.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry plus 3 years relevant experience; or bachelor’s/master’s degree with 7+ years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
