Job Description

The ISO General Liability Team of Verisk Underwriting Solutions is looking for an experienced insurance product expert to develop innovative enhancements to ISO's General Liability, Umbrella, Excess and Medical Professional insurance programs and to build educational materials around those. If you are interested in using your product knowledge and expertise to innovate, lead and collaboratively develop products and tools that impact the whole P&C industry, this may be the job for you.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead technical and conceptual development of ISO policy forms, endorsements and related materials. Function as the strategic thought leader in Commercial General Liability and Commercial Liability Umbrella/Excess, using understanding of coverages, market, industry, legal, and regulatory trends, our customers, and our competitors to gauge impact on our insurance programs, provide actionable insights, and create new products and product enhancements.
• Develop panel agenda topics as well as coordinate, contribute to and present at panel meetings with our customers.
• As a product strategy leader, you will collaborate with Verisk compliance experts to react to emerging trends and create new insurance products and related material including but not limited to educational materials in collaboration with the Education Department.
• Foster client engagement through relationship-building efforts. Coordinate in-person visits and teleconferences to share knowledge about and to gain client input on Verisk products and services.
• Leverage the Emerging Issues Solutions Architect team to develop industry leading solutions for emerging trends, issues, and concerns.
• Further Verisk’s position as thought leader by speaking and writing about Verisk products, services and industry trends. Research and develop topic- and line-specific presentations and articles; collaborate with Law Department and Verisk Marketing teams as appropriate.
• Mentor less experienced staff as necessary, with regard to insurance-related topics and/or Verisk internal systems and workflow.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years P&C insurance experience with strong knowledge of coverages in Commercial General Liability and Commercial Liability Umbrella/Excess required, including robust knowledge of market and industry trends.
• Excellent development and analysis of policy forms required.
• Experienced with multistate filings.
• Proven research and analytical skills.
• Pro-active problem solver.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with presentation experience.
• Experience building great internal or external customer relationships that focus on gaining actionable insights and forming collaborative partnerships with the goal of innovation, product improvement, or ease of use.
• CPCU, other industry designations, or law degree a plus.
