Job summary

TriEdge Investments is seeking a senior leader to work directly with executives and operating teams to shape how AI and technology can improve their businesses and identify opportunities with the greatest potential for value creation.

You will typically be one of the first people from TriEdge to engage with a new portfolio company or client, gaining deep understanding of operations, data flow, and decision points to drive performance enhancements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in management consulting, private equity value creation, technology strategy, digital transformation, or a senior operating role.
• Significant experience working directly with senior executives on business, operational, and technology priorities.
• Ability to translate business problems into AI/tech opportunities and articulate value.
• Strong financial acumen including ROI modeling and business-case development.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery and opportunity assessment with portfolio companies and clients, developing a clear point of view on where AI and technology can create the most value.
• Understand workflows, data, decision points, and operational complexity across organization levels.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, data, and software to improve revenue, margins, productivity, and growth.
• Assess opportunities based on financial impact, feasibility, and time to value, prioritizing them accordingly.
• Develop business cases and financial models that articulate investment and expected ROI.
• Present findings and recommendations to CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and other senior leaders.
• Advise management on AI strategy and practical adoption of capabilities including tools like ChatGPT and Claude.
• Stay current on AI developments and apply knowledge to operating challenges across portfolio companies.
• Transition validated opportunities to product and engineering teams and maintain alignment with business objectives.

Mongoose is TriEdge Investments’ technology and AI value creation team, working across a portfolio of more than 30 operating companies, primarily in healthcare, with growing work in financial services and other operationally complex industries.

We work directly with management teams to understand their businesses, identify opportunities where technology can improve performance, and build solutions that deliver measurable results. Our model combines the rigor of consulting, the perspective of an investor, and the ability to build and deploy technology ourselves.

The Role

We are looking for a senior leader to work directly with executives and operating teams to shape how AI and technology can improve their businesses and identify the opportunities with the greatest potential for value creation.

You will typically be one of the first people from Mongoose to engage with a new portfolio company or client. You will get inside the business, working with executives and frontline teams to understand how it actually operates: how work gets done, where decisions are made, how data moves through the organization, where processes break down, and where technology can materially improve performance.

You will develop a point of view on where AI and technology can have the greatest impact, translate that into a prioritized set of opportunities, and build the business case for pursuing them. This includes evaluating not only the potential value, but also the feasibility, organizational readiness, and ability to execute.

You will also serve as a senior technology and AI advisor to our management teams, helping them understand how new capabilities can be applied practically across their organizations.

What You’ll Do

• Lead discovery and opportunity assessment with new portfolio companies and clients, developing a clear point of view on where AI and technology can create the most value.
• Work across the organization, from senior executives to frontline operators, to understand workflows, systems, data, decision points, and areas of operational complexity.
• Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, data, and software to improve revenue, margins, productivity, and growth.
• Assess and prioritize opportunities based on financial impact, feasibility, organizational readiness, and time to value.
• Develop business cases and financial models that clearly articulate expected investment and return.
• Present findings and recommendations to CEOs, CFOs, COOs, and other senior leaders.
• Advise management teams on AI strategy and the practical adoption of emerging capabilities, including tools such as ChatGPT and Claude as well as more advanced automation and agentic solutions.
• Stay current on developments in AI and enterprise technology and apply that knowledge to the operating challenges we see across our companies.
• Transition validated opportunities to Mongoose’s product and engineering teams and maintain alignment around the original business objectives and expected value.
• Apply lessons and patterns from individual engagements across the broader portfolio.

About You

You have spent your career solving complex business problems at the intersection of operations, technology, and economics. You can walk into an unfamiliar business, understand it quickly, earn the confidence of its leadership team, and develop a clear point of view on where technology can create meaningful value.

• 15+ years of experience in management consulting, private equity value creation, technology strategy, digital transformation, or a senior operating role.
• Significant experience working directly with senior executives on business, operational, and technology priorities.
• Strong understanding of how businesses operate, with the ability to quickly understand unfamiliar processes, systems, and economics.
• Demonstrated experience identifying, sizing, and prioritizing opportunities using sound financial and operational analysis.
• Strong financial acumen, including experience developing business cases and modeling ROI.
• Deep understanding of AI, automation, and modern enterprise technology, along with a strong interest in how rapidly evolving capabilities can be applied in practice.
• The ability to move comfortably between business and technology discussions and communicate effectively with both operating executives and technical teams.
• Strong executive presence, judgment, and communication skills.
• Experience in healthcare or another operationally complex industry is strongly preferred.

What We Offer

Pay Transparency

The annual base salary range for this position is $300,000 – $325,000. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on experience and skill level, among other factors. This role is also eligible for a discretionary fund performance bonus.
