Position Overview

We are seeking a Principal AI Strategist to lead our AI Innovation team. This role requires a professional with business strategy acumen, deep AI expertise, presales excellence, and solution development leadership. You will manage key client relationships, lead high-stakes pre-sales engagements, develop AI service offerings, and deliver executive-level AI strategy workshops.

This position demands strategic ownership, enterprise influence, and thought leadership, shaping the growth of our AI advisory and solutions portfolio.

This role is ideally based in Chicagoland but open to remote locations across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Client Engagement And Leadership:

• Serve as the principal AI strategy advisor for strategic clients.
• Lead briefings, advisory sessions, and workshops with C-level stakeholders.
• Manage pre-sales and deal qualification processes for AI projects.
• Build trusted advisor relationships to position One North as a strategic partner.

Offering Ownership And Marketing Impact:

• Design and own new AI offerings and go-to-market strategies.
• Identify emerging AI trends and develop new services and solutions.
• Create thought leadership content to establish authority in AI.
• Represent the company in industry forums and events.

Solution Design And Delivery Leadership:

• Lead design and delivery of AI strategies, roadmaps, and frameworks for clients.
• Advise on AI platforms and ecosystems (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain).
• Ensure AI initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes and ethical standards.

Organizational Leadership:

• Mentor senior strategists and consultants.
• Align stakeholders on AI transformation initiatives.
• Foster a culture of excellence and responsible AI use.

Skills & Qualifications

• 12+ years in strategy consulting, technology advisory, or innovation leadership.
• 7+ years in AI leadership, including enterprise strategies and presales.
• Deep experience with LLMs, Generative AI, and emerging architectures.
• Proven success in high-impact workshops and executive advisory.
• Strong business and technical acumen.
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and thought leadership skills.
• Experience with AI regulation, ethics, and governance.
