Principal, AI Solutions

The Principal, AI Solutions translates complex and often ambiguous business needs into practical AI-powered solutions that improve how teams work and drive measurable business outcomes. This is a senior individual contributor role within Higher Logic’s AI Transformation team, partnering across the business to identify opportunities, design solutions, and deliver AI-enabled workflows, agents, automations, skills, and related tools.

This is not primarily an AI engineering or data science role. We are looking for someone who combinesstrong business acumen, high emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and practical AI fluencywith a deep understanding of how a B2B SaaS organization operates.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience working within a B2B software/SaaS company. This is the minimum requirement – but more experience in B2B software is welcomed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Business Discovery & Solution Strategy
  • Partner with functional leaders and subject matter experts to understand business goals, identify friction, and uncover opportunities where AI can improve workflows and outcomes.
  • Translate ambiguous business challenges into clear requirements, solution concepts, and actionable plans.
  • Develop an independent point of view on how to approach problems rather than relying on stakeholders to define the solution.
  • Connect workflow improvements to broader SaaS business outcomes such as customer retention, adoption, productivity, revenue, and operating efficiency.
AI Solution Design & Delivery
  • Lead the end-to-end discovery, design, delivery, and continuous improvement of AI agents, skills, workflows, automations, prompt-based solutions, and related tools.
  • Build and iterate practical AI-enabled solutions while balancing business value, usability, speed, scalability, security, and governance requirements.
  • Work closely with end users to understand workflows, validate requirements, gather feedback, and support successful adoption.
  • Partner with the AI Transformation Lead and technical stakeholders when solutions require additional data, infrastructure, architecture, or security support.
Cross-Functional Partnership & Change Management
  • Build trusted relationships across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, Product, Finance, and other business functions.
  • Lead effective discovery conversations, ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and collaborate with stakeholders to develop solutions.
  • Apply strong emotional intelligence when navigating organizational change, competing priorities, and workflows that may be materially affected by AI.
  • Communicate AI concepts clearly and practically to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Evaluate solution effectiveness through adoption, user feedback, business outcomes, and other available measures.
  • Develop reusable patterns, templates, playbooks, documentation, and best practices that can be applied across teams.
  • Stay current on evolving AI capabilities and assess their practical application to Higher Logic’s business needs.
What you'll bring:
  • At least 3 years of professional experience within a B2B software/SaaS company, with a strong understanding of how SaaS organizations operate and how functions work together to drive business outcomes.
  • Strong business acumenwith the ability to connect operational challenges and workflows to larger company goals and business results.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ)with demonstrated ability to listen, collaborate, build trust, navigate change, and work effectively with a wide range of personalities and functions.
  • Strong practical AI fluency, including familiarity with AI agents, skills, workflow automation, prompting, and related approaches. Deep AI engineering or machine learning expertise is not required.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to see both the broader business picture and the details of an individual workflow.
You’ll earn:
  • Competitive compensation.
  • 401(k) plan with employer match.
  • Healthcare and dependent‑care flexible spending account.
  • Company short‑term and long‑term disability insurance.
  • Company culture that recognizes its employees.
  • Room for growth and development and management that cares about your professional growth and will help you achieve your goals.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
