Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, SE, or related field.
• 12+ years in software engineering; 8 years with a Master; 5 years with a PhD.
• Strong programming in Java, Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or C#.
• Hands-on with production software and enterprise solutions.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, cloud platforms, and enterprise integrations.
• Secure development practices and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and support AI-enabled apps and automation.
• Identify AI opportunities with stakeholders and translate needs.
• Lead full SDLC from requirements to deployment.
• Develop APIs, integrations, and data-driven solutions using modern practices.
• Build AI-enabled solutions using enterprise AI platforms and validate AI code.
• Troubleshoot apps and improve reliability and UX.

Job description

For our client, we are seeking a Principal AI Solutions Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space. This role will help design and deliver AI-enabled software solutions that improve how internal stakeholders and business partners work. The ideal candidate will combine strong software engineering depth with practical AI experience to translate business needs into secure, scalable applications and automation.

You will collaborate across teams to lead development efforts from discovery through deployment, while helping ensure solution quality, reliability, and responsible AI practices.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $132,400 – $173,775 annually

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support AI-enabled applications and automation solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify AI and automation opportunities and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Lead the full software development lifecycle from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
• Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and data-driven solutions using modern development practices.
• Build AI-enabled solutions using enterprise AI platforms and validate AI-generated code for quality.
• Troubleshoot applications and improve solution reliability and user experience.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with standards and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in software engineering or related technology disciplines; 8 years with a Master's degree; 5 years with a PhD.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or C#.
