Atomic - Remote Jobs is seeking a senior software engineer to own backend systems and data pipelines for a scalable AI-powered benefits platform. You will lead end-to-end development, define identity management architecture, and drive security and reliability across cloud-based services.

You'll collaborate with product, design, and data teams in a remote-first environment, mentoring peers and shaping the platform's future while delivering high-impact features for frontline workers' benefits

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven track record leading complex projects end-to-end.
• Strong system architecture and scalable design.
• Experience with AWS and secure data handling.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale core backend systems and data pipelines.
• Lead end-to-end development for key platform features.
• Define architecture for identity management and API integrations.
• Champion reliability engineering, DevOps, and IaC practices.
• Collaborate with product, design, and data teams.
• Work with a small team on full-stack development impacting backend and frontend.
