Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking an experienced AI software engineer to join our data science and product teams in Roy, Utah. The ideal candidate blends strong programming with deep familiarity in LLM deployment, agentic AI frameworks, and large-scale data platforms to build end-to-end AI solutions for product differentiation and scale.

The role supports the Sentinel program and offers a 9/80 schedule with competitive relocation assistance.

Qualifications

Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
U.S. Citizen and ability to obtain SAP.
Experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript in production.

Responsibilities

Defines, develops, and delivers novel mathematical and statistical modeling and algorithm development to tackle the challenges of prediction, optimization, and classification.
Applies machine learning algorithms to large sets of structured and unstructured data to solve problems such as pattern recognition, target detection, and tracking.
Prototypes advanced AI techniques to advance autonomous systems R&D programs.
Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems with mathematical solutions.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deploy ML algorithms to prototype testing and production, ensuring software standards are met.
