Job summary

LIMRA and LOMA are seeking a Principal Software Developer to lead the design and delivery of AI-enabled applications across the organization and its members. You will work closely with business leaders, product, and technology teams to identify opportunities and translate them into practical AI-powered solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, AI, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years designing, developing, deploying AI or ML solutions in production.
• 5+ years experience with engineering tools and languages (C#, Python, JavaScript) and cloud environments (Azure/AWS).
• 4+ years developing applications using large language models and generative AI.
• 4+ years of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) experience.
• 4+ years with cloud-based AI platforms (Azure AI Foundry, Bedrock, etc.).
• 5+ years of software engineering best practices (CI/CD, APIs, testing, cloud dev).
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, semantic search, enterprise knowledge retrieval.
• Strong business and technical acumen; ability to explain AI concepts to non-technical audiences.
