Job summary

Expedia Group is seeking a Principal Data & AI Engineer, Reporting and Insights, to lead AI-powered reporting and executive insights across the organization. You will define reporting strategy, data architecture, and AI-enabled delivery to improve decision-making and reduce manual work.

You will shape standards for responsible AI, partner with senior leadership on insights roadmap, and mentor teams adopting modern data practices and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/DS or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in data analytics, BI, or related roles; Masters a plus.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency for data engineering, analytics, and AI/ML integration.
• 3+ years building/deploying AI/LLM-based apps including prompt engineering, RAG, or agentic workflows.
• 2+ years with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or Vertex AI.

Responsibilities

• Own AI-powered reporting and insights strategy from data ingestion to executive delivery.
• Lead the reporting data architecture, pipelines, and infrastructure for trusted, scalable reporting.
• Integrate BI, metrics, and AI-powered reporting into a connected capability for leaders.
• Set technical standards within CTO Office and align with EG reporting tools (Tableau, Looker).
• Design and implement LLM-powered reporting workflows (prompts, RAG, agentic pipelines).
• Evaluate and integrate enterprise AI platforms ensuring reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
