Job summary

Teradata Corporation is seeking a Principal Engineer for the AI Studio and agentic AI initiatives. You will architect production-grade AI agents, drive secure, observable systems, and collaborate with researchers and platform teams to deliver scalable, enterprise-grade agent frameworks.

You’ll design memory management, orchestration, and evaluation layers, ensuring auditable, responsible deployments and governance across large-scale environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, backend systems, or AI infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of autonomous agent frameworks and AI orchestration models.
• Experience building secure, scalable agent-based systems at enterprise scale.
• Proficiency with cloud-native platforms and distributed systems.
• Experience with APIs/SDKs exposing agent capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Architect foundational components for production-grade AI agents and agent frameworks.
• Design and deploy scalable AI agents that reason, plan, and act autonomously.
• Ensure security by design, visibility, accountability, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with researchers, platform engineers, and product managers to push agentic capabilities to production.
• Build infrastructure for multi-agent collaboration, memory/context management, and extensibility.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across large teams to define the agent platform roadmap.
