Job summary

Teradata seeks a senior Principal Engineer to lead the Agentic AI space and architect scalable AI agents across enterprise environments. You will partner with product, platform, and research teams to deliver secure, observable systems, from agent frameworks to orchestration and governance layers.

You will influence decisions on safety, performance, and deployment practices while shaping the next generation of AI capabilities for Teradata Cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, deeply technical Principal Engineer to lead Agentic AI innovations.
• Experience designing and deploying intelligent agents that can reason, plan, and act autonomously.
• Experience at scale with secure, responsible AI deployments.
• Ability to work across product, architecture, and platform teams.
• Knowledge of agent management, governance, and compliance.
• Strong collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect foundational components for production‑grade AI systems — agent frameworks and pipelines.
• Define and lead the technical roadmap for agent management, discovery, provisioning, and orchestration.
• Ensure secure by design AI agents with governance, observability, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, platform engineers, and product managers to deploy capabilities to production.
