Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead innovation in autonomous AI agents and agentic architectures. You will shape the next generation of agent platforms, govern agent behavior, and ensure secure, scalable deployments at enterprise scale across Teradata Cloud and on-prem environments.

You will collaborate with AI researchers, platform teams, and product managers to build memory, planning loops, and execution chains, while upholding observability, governance, and zero-trust principles.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, backend systems, or AI infrastructure.
• Proven ability to design, develop and deploy intelligent agents at scale.
• Experience with agent management, governance, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation in the Agentic AI space and define the technical roadmap.
• Architect and implement secure, scalable frameworks for autonomous AI agents.
• Collaborate with product leaders, platform teams, and researchers to deliver production-grade AI agents.
• Build foundations for multi-agent memory, context management, and extensibility.
• Drive safe, observable, and compliant deployment across enterprise environments.
