Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Principal AI/ML Engineer (LLM) to lead a multidisciplinary team developing AI/ML algorithms across several domains, including object detection, NLP, and reinforcement learning.

You will apply LLMs to remote sensing tasks, fine-tune models, and build adapters for new applications. The role requires extensive experience with Python and ML libraries, PEFT techniques, and deploying models using Kubernetes, LangChain, and DSPy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software development or data science with 2+ years building LLM applications
• BS in machine learning, CS, math, or related field required
• Experience with Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, OpenCV, NumPy, Pandas) and LLM frameworks

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary team of developers and researchers to implement ML algorithms
• Apply LLMs to remote sensing tasks such as tasking collections and pattern analysis
• Fine-tune foundation models and build adapters (PEFT, llama factory)
• Use retrieval augmented generation to populate/query vector databases
• Deploy LLM solutions across cloud and local resources using Kubernetes
