Job summary

Slalom is seeking an AI/ML Architect to design and deliver enterprise-scale AI systems that operate safely at scale. You will work across data products, model orchestration, and agentic workflows, collaborating with clients to shape strategy and governance.

You will lead cross-functional teams, establish secure architectures across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and drive responsible AI practices, bias mitigation, and explainability.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience delivering ML/AI in production environments.
• 3+ years in professional consulting or IT services with client-facing work.
• Hands-on design of end-to-end AI systems with data, models, retrieval and orchestration.
• Deep knowledge of GenAI patterns: RAG, embeddings, multi-modal inputs.
• Experience with agentic AI architectures and safe action execution.

Responsibilities

• Architect enterprise-scale AI systems spanning data products, retrieval and orchestration.
• Design secure cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
• Lead AI solution design across generative, agentic and multimodal use cases.
• Enable production GenAI adoption with tool calls, memory patterns and governance.
• Define evaluation, observability, latency, and cost monitoring practices.
• Mentor cross-functional teams of engineers and consultants; support BD efforts.
