Crusoe Energy Systems LLC is seeking a Principal Systems Software Engineer to lead the next generation of AI infrastructure. You will bridge silicon and software, guiding SR-IOV, RDMA, and GPU scheduling while shipping production-grade kernel and orchestration code.

You will oversee cross-functional R&D, draft strategic documentation, and represent Crusoe in open-source communities. The role requires hyperscale experience, deep systems authority, and a passion for building high-performance,

Qualifications

• 12+ years designing and shipping core infra at hyperscalers or HPC cloud.
• Authoritative Linux kernel and virtualization internals knowledge.
• Hardware-software co-design for GPUs and high-speed NICs.
• Experience leading cross-functional RD teams on critical systems.
• Significant industry contributions or patents/open-source work.
• Excellent ability to explain memory-mapped I/O and fabric architectures.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/CE or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead unification of BMaaS, Intelligent IaaS, and Elastic CaaS architectures.
• Architect SR-IOV, RDMA, and virtualized GPU scheduling.
• Guide R&D to prototype new memory, networking, compute methods.
• Draft white papers and RFCs outlining roadmap.
• Collaborate with Staff/Senior engineers to fix race conditions.
• Represent Crusoe in open-source and industry forums.
