Job summary

Claritev is seeking a Principal, AI Governance Strategy to orchestrate the Data & AI Governance Steering Committee. The role requires setting strategy, policy, and a cross-functional posture across Legal, Compliance & Privacy, Security, Core AI, and Data Governance.

It is a fully remote, individual-contributor role with occasional travel for Steering Committee and audit engagements. The candidate will own the policy framework, escalation pathways, and decision records that scale governance

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise strategy, governance, policy, or risk, with governance focus.
• Direct experience owning or running an enterprise governance function or senior decision-making body.
• Experience in regulated industries with regulators, auditors and board risk committees.
• Proven ability to frame ambiguous questions into clear, decidable positions for senior audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategic agenda and pre-reads for the Data & AI Governance Steering Committee and lead sessions on behalf of the Head of Responsible AI.
• Set enterprise AI and data governance strategy and policy based on regulatory direction, business priorities, and risk posture.
• Serve as senior cross-functional broker across Legal, Compliance & Privacy, Security, Core AI, and Data Governance.
• Own and maintain the strategic infrastructure that scales governance: policy framework, escalation pathways, and decision records.
• Convert steering decisions into enterprise action—cascade policy and direction to business units and ensure adoption.
• Own executive- and board-level narratives on AI governance strategy and prepare Board Risk Committee materials.
• Partner with governance leaders to translate review patterns into enterprise policy across units.
