Job summary

Technology at Arizona State University is seeking a Principal Business Analyst to lead enterprise technology initiatives, mentor analysts, and drive AI-enabled solutions across university systems.

You will partner with stakeholders to translate objectives into effective requirements, oversee complex discovery, and ensure governance and secure, scalable delivery within the Enterprise Technology group.

Qualifications

• Senior-level Business Analysis experience leading multiple enterprise technology initiatives.
• Strong BA expertise in requirements elicitation, process analysis, workflows, use cases, and solution design.
• Proven leadership and mentorship of other Business Analysts; ability to coach and promote best practices.
• Excellent communication and facilitation for executive/stakeholder engagements.
• Experience leveraging AI in BA activities and translating opportunities into requirements.
• Experience with ERP, HR, Finance, Student Information Systems, CRM, or Service Management platforms.
• Ability to collaborate across architects, developers, data, cybersecurity, product/project managers, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex enterprise technology initiatives with strategic analysis and BA leadership across cross-functional projects.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives and analyze capabilities for automation, AI, and improved customer experience.
• Lead discovery, interviews, workshops, and requirements elicitation across business, functional, technical, and data domains.
• Develop and manage BA deliverables: process maps, workflows, user stories, use cases, business rules, logs, requirements.
• Incorporate AI into solutions with governance, security, privacy, accessibility, and risk considerations.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure solutions align with objectives and enterprise standards.
• Drive implementation, testing support, change readiness, deployment, and operational transition.
• Mentor BAs and advance BA practices with modern techniques and AI-enabled practices.
