Job summary

Landmark, a Halliburton business line, is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, AI & Developer Experience. You will lead architecture for AI-enabled software development, build scalable tools, and drive engineering standards across Landmark’s software repositories and internal platforms.

The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, focusing on reproducible environments, tooling, and secure development practices within a large engineering organization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in a technical field (CS/Engineering or similar).
• 7+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing, building, testing, and securing software solutions.
• Experience with workflows: source control, build automation, automated testing, code review, CI/CD or release automation.
• Experience improving software architecture, tools, or development practices in a complex environment.
• Ability to lead technically complex initiatives and influence decisions without formal authority.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for AI-enabled software development across Landmark.
• Establish high-performing developer environment standards and deterministic workflows.
• Design and build an AI tooling layer integrating source control, CI/CD, and security.
