Job summary

Capgemini in San Francisco seeks a Managing AI/Principal AI Architect to own the architecture of multi-workstream AI programs and advise CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders. You will ensure secure, scalable, cost-effective solutions with measurable business outcomes.

You will lead architecture across foundation models, RAG, data platforms, cloud infrastructure, and MLOps, while shaping strategic pursuits and governance across Azure, AWS, and GCP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in solution, enterprise, platform or cloud architecture.
• 3+ years designing AI/ML or GenAI solutions, including production deployments.
• Proven ownership of complex enterprise architecture.
• Client-facing consulting and executive stakeholder experience.
• Production experience with at least one hyperscaler AI ecosystem.
• Evidence of solution shaping and delivery governance.
• Strong grounding in security, data, integration and Responsible AI.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end AI architecture across multiple workstreams or programs.
• Lead AI solution shaping for strategic pursuits and competitive proposals.
• Advise on architecture strategy, platform and vendor choices.
• Governing design authority, standards, and guardrails for security and compliance.
• Lead architecture through delivery from design to production readiness.
• Forecast and optimize model, compute and platform costs post-proposal to operations.
• Develop Capgemini's AI architecture capability via mentoring and assets.
