Job summary

Cognizant Consulting in San Jose is seeking a Principal Enterprise Architect — AI Specialty to lead enterprise AI architecture across Platforms & Services and Hi-Tech accounts. You will define how agentic and machine-learning capabilities are grounded in client data, governed responsibly, and standardized into reusable patterns.

You will lead architecture governance, mentor engineers, and engage with client executives, including pre‑sales and discovery workshops.

Qualifications

• 12–15+ years in IT/enterprise architecture with TOGAF governance.
• Experience delivering enterprise GenAI platforms on cloud-native architectures.
• Deep experience with Platforms & Services and Hi-Tech clients (SaaS, fintech, semiconductors).
• Hands-on with Python, notebooks, LLM SDKs and cloud services; production-scale AI experience.
• Client-facing experience including pre-sales, solutioning, and executive engagement; knowledge of responsible AI and data privacy.

Responsibilities

• Set the enterprise-wide AI architecture vision and roadmaps for each account.
• Architect scalable, secure, explainable AI systems and reference architectures.
• Standardize reusable building blocks and build proofs of concept to validate feasibility.
• Establish architecture governance and responsible-AI practices, data privacy, and model governance.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship; engage with client executives up to C-level.
