Job summary

SailPoint seeks a Principal Agentic Technologist for the APJ/Japan region to lead technical strategy and field execution for Agentic Identity Security products, engaging with strategic customers and partners.

You will design secure identity architectures, run executive workshops, enable partners, and influence product direction for agentic AI deployments, while serving as the regional authority and collaborating with the Sr. Director, Global Agentic AI, and field teams.

Qualifications

• Business-level Japanese fluency required.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks and building/ configuring agents that interact with cloud platforms.
• Demonstrable experience with major cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI).
• Strong foundations in Identity & Access Management (IGA/IAM) concepts, including least privilege and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with securing non-human identities (service accounts, machine identities).
• Excellent strategic and technical communication to address both executive and technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Pioneer and iterate the technical “Agentic Story” for Japan, building assets that demonstrate governance and security for AI agents.
• Lead complex customer engagements from discovery to final architecture and deliver Top-3 Agent Workshops (T3AW).
• Act as regional subject-matter expert and field evangelist: present at events, run executive workshops, enable global SE teams.
• Enable and train local partners through scaled technical enablement programs to expand product reach.
• Provide actionable field feedback to Product Management and executives to influence the product roadmap.
• Advise customers on secure identity architectures, including non-human identities and lifecycle management.

Role

Principal Agentic Technologist for the APJ/Japan region reporting to the Sr. Director, Global Agentic AI. Act as the primary technical authority and regional representative to demonstrate and prove the value of SailPoint’s Agentic Identity Security products to strategic customers and partners in Japan.

Key Responsibilities

• Pioneer and iterate the technical “Agentic Story” for Japan, building assets that demonstrate how SailPoint governs and secures AI agents at scale.
• Lead complex customer engagements from discovery to final architecture and deliver Top-3 Agent Workshops (T3AW).
• Act as a regional subject-matter expert and field evangelist: present at industry events, run executive workshops, and enable the global sales engineering team.
• Enable and train local partners through scaled technical enablement programs to expand product reach.
• Provide actionable field feedback to Product Management and executives to influence the product roadmap.
• Advise customers on secure identity architectures, including non-human identity security and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Business-level Japanese fluency (native or equivalent) required.
• Deep, hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks (examples called out: LangChain, LlamaIndex) and building/configuring agents that interact with cloud platforms and enterprise data.
• Demonstrable experience with major cloud AI platforms (examples called out: AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI).
• Strong foundations in Identity & Access Management (IGA/IAM) concepts, including JIT access, least privilege, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with securing non-human identities (service accounts, API keys, machine identities; examples: SPIFFE/SPIRE, workload identity).
• Excellent strategic and technical communication skills to address both executive (CISO/CDO) and technical (Lead Architect/developer) audiences.

Reporting & Location

• Reports to Sr. Director, Global Agentic AI.
• Role focused on Japan / APJ region; requires in-country engagement and partner/customer-facing activities.
