You will translate mission needs into executable technical roadmaps, guiding modeling teams and coordinating with program leadership and customers. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, a strong engineering background (aerospace/related fields), and 15 years of experience.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship and active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
• 15 years of relevant experience.
• Willing to work on-site in Herndon, VA.

Responsibilities

• Define the technical vision, modeling strategy, and execution approach for M&S programs.
• Partner with customers and program leadership to clarify mission needs and translate requirements into prioritized work plans.
• Maintain overall technical quality across the M&S team, including model integrity, scenarios, methods, results, and conclusions.
• Establish and enforce common modeling approaches, review standards, and documentation expectations.
• Standardize simulation workflows and promote reusable models, data products, tools, and analysis components.
• Improve team efficiency through automation, tool integration, and cloud/distributed computing environments.
• Mentor analysts and develop capabilities through coaching and reviews.
