Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a Principal Aerospace Engineer to own the design and analysis of innovative engineering solutions and guide small teams of engineers on customer projects. This role spans the entire product lifecycle, from concept development and prototyping to detailed analysis, manufacturing, testing, and flight.

  • Lead and manage projects, guiding a small team of engineers through execution.
  • Collaborate with customers to define project scope, develop schedules, and allocate resources to ensure successful delivery.
  • Create and enhance design and analysis tools to improve efficiency across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Provide technical expertise, mentorship, and strategic guidance to engineering team members.
  • Facilitate cross-disciplinary communication to drive critical program decisions.
  • Identify key challenges, develop innovative solutions, and effectively convey their impact to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you will bring to the Team Must have:
  • 10+ years of demonstrated engineering experience
  • Bachelor’s degreein Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent education/work experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace and defense, including work on aerospace development projects such as new aircraft, aircraft modifications, aircraft systems, and spacecraft
  • 4+ years of experiencein the design and analysis of composite and metallic structures
  • 4+ years of hands-on experiencewith CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software, such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo, FEMAP, etc.
  • 3+ years of expertisein aircraft external loads, performance, stability, and control
Other Qualifications:
  • Moderate travel
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain a security clearance
  • Significant experience drafting parts, assemblies, and installation drawings using GD&T (ASME Y14.5) best practice
  • Hands on experience with machining and composite part fabrication
  • Comfortable working on Military/DoD projects
Salary Range
  • $147,000 - $220,000 depending on experience
