Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Engineer Aeronautical or Senior Principal Engineer Aeronautical – CAM in Rancho Bernardo, CA to lead Earned Value Management for the Air Vehicle Hardware Avionics IPT. You will manage cost, schedule and performance, ensuring alignment across engineering, purchasing and program offices.

The role requires a STEM degree with relevant experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in STEM with corresponding experience.
• Experience requirements align with the degree level (5+ years, 3+ years, or none for a PhD).
• Ability to obtain and maintain the final U.S. Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to Earned Value policies and procedures for the control accounts.
• Provide EVM status, cost and schedule variance analyses as needed.
• Monitor costs, budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Participate in proposal preparation and customer negotiations.
• Recommend corrective actions for schedule, staffing, and funding.
• Create monthly forecasts of material and labor and analyze variances.
• Ensure value delivery aligned with technical, business and execution plans.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Purchasing to meet material availability.
• Respond to DCMA inquiries and support IBR/PMR and related audits.
• Analyze large data sets and communicate insights to leadership.
