Indiana University Bloomington is seeking a Principal Accountant, Gift and Grant Accounting to ensure gifts and grants are recorded in compliance with GAAP, GASB, and university policy. This role serves as the primary liaison between IU Foundation and the Office of Research Administration.
You will oversee complex accounting assignments, prepare journal entries, support monthly and year-end closes, and work on process improvements.

The Principal Accountant, Gift and Grant Accounting is responsiblefor verifying that financial statement transactions related togifts and grants are recorded in compliance with accountingguidelines, governmental regulations, and university policy. Thisposition is the primary liaison between Indiana University (IU)Foundation (for gift accounting) and Office of ResearchAdministration (for grant accounting).
Combinations of related education and experience may beconsidered. Education beyond the minimum required may besubstituted for work experience. Work experience beyond the minimumrequired may be substituted for education.

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and tooperate a computer and other standard office productivityequipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periodsof time moving around an office environment and the campus. This position is eligible for remote work or a hybrid schedule (mixbetween remote and in person work), subject to change based upon university policy and the department's business needs.
$87,000 - $91,000 annually, depending upon qualifications
