Job summary

Hardy County Board of Education seeks an Elementary School Principal for MIS - Moorefield Intermediate School, starting September 1, 2026. The position runs for 240 days with contract for the 2026-2027 SY and salary determined by the Central Office Extended Year scale, based on certification, education, and experience.

Date available: remainder of 2026-2027 SY; full-time administration position requiring WV Principal PK- Ad certification and a Master's degree; prior admin and elementary teaching

Qualifications

• WV Professional Administrative Certificate: Principal, PK- Ad
• Master's Degree required
• Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience required, elementary administrative experience preferred
• Five (5) years of elementary teaching experience preferred
• Complete all required county and WVDE trainings
• Successful completion of the Hardy County interview process
• The ability to perform the job duties and responsibilities as contained in the Job Description, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Applicants who have recent unsatisfactory evaluations will not be eligible for consideration
• Applicants who demonstrate unsatisfactory interview performance are not eligible for consideration
