Job summary

Hardy County Schools is accepting applications for an Aide at Moorefield Intermediate School for the 2026-2027 school year. The role supports students with daily activities, including lifting, health care and transportation duties, in accordance with WVDE requirements.

Start date is September 1, 2026 with a workday roughly 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The contract follows the 200-day schedule; salary is based on the 2026-2027 salary scale and nondiscrimination policies are observed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent or be enrolled in a GED program.
  • Must meet WV Code requirements and competence.
  • Must hold WVDE Aide II or higher certificate.
  • Criminal background check may be required.
  • Complete all required county and WVDE trainings.
  • Includes lifting, health, personal care and transportation responsibilities.
  • Additional minimum requirements: prior unsatisfactory evaluations, interview performance, references, or dismissal history may disqualify applicants.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or be continually enrolled in a GED program working towards successful completion
  • Must meet all required qualifications and competencypursuant to W. Va. Code
  • Must hold either an Aide II or higher certificate issued by the West Virginia Department of Education
  • Criminal background check may be required as appropriate

  • Will include all lifting, health, personal care and transportation responsibilities

End Time: Approximately 3:30 p.m.

Start and End Time are subject to change based upon transportation duties

Salary: Based on the 2026-2027 salary scale
