Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking engineers to sustain and develop software for cloud-enabled data ingestion, tagging, and auditing systems in a secure, scalable environment. The position is onsite in Aurora, CO and requires TS/SCI clearance eligibility and U.S. citizenship.

You will lead CI/CD design and maintenance, automate builds and tests, and ensure security controls are embedded in the pipeline while collaborating with development, security, and operations teams.

Job Overview

At RTX, the world's largest aerospace and defense company,Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry. Collins is seeking Engineers to be part of an engineering team for the AF DCGS High Band Mission Applications Software (HBMAS) Sustainment and Development program. The role will involve overseeing and performing software development and sustainment for cloud‑enabled systems that ingest, tag, and audit data sets while maintaining security, integrity, and availability of data. This is an onsite role in Aurora, CO and is contingent on contract award.

What You Will Do

Lead a team in the design, maintenance, and optimization of CI/CD pipelines.
Enable automated builds, testing, security scanning, and deployments.
Integrate security and quality controls throughout the pipeline.
Collaborate closely with development, security, and operations teams.
Ensure software delivery is reliable, secure, and scalable.

Qualifications

Ability to integrate automated testing, scanning, and quality gates into build and deployment workflows.
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 6 years of experience.
Active and transferable TS/SCI clearance is required prior to start date.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud‑native deployment patterns and managed services
• Knowledge of configuration management and environment automation
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure‑by‑design practices
