Job summary

Fresco y Mas is seeking a Meat Cutter at our Miami-area store to provide courteous service, cut meat to specifications, and maintain safe, clean work area. Under supervision, you will help customers and ensure quality products.

Responsibilities include receiving deliveries, cutting, trimming, wrapping, weighing, pricing, and adhering to sanitation rules and company standards while protecting freshness and minimizing waste.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• Authorization to work in the United States or the ability to obtain the same.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
• Prepare and package food products and process customer orders to their specifications; process fresh meats, seafood and lunchmeat to production standards.
• Receive and breakdown meat deliveries.
• Cut and trim products to company standards using peak time cutting lists.
• Wrap, weigh and price product as needed; cube, slice and grind meat as needed.
• Observe weights, measures, and sanitation laws; maintain safety with power equipment.
• Stock and rotate department products to ensure freshness and date control; minimize waste.
• Keep work area clean, safe and orderly; report hazards and theft as needed.
