Job summary

Coinbase is seeking an Accounting Manager for Prime Financing to own the end-to-end accounting function for the prime financing and brokerage business. You will lead a team through monthly closes, quarterly reporting, and annual audits while partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting as the business scales.

Reporting to the Assistant Controller, Prime Brokerage and Digital Assets, you will design scalable controls, implement automation, and provide accounting guidance

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 9+ years of progressive accounting experience in fintech or financial services.
• Direct experience with financing, lending, or prime brokerage accounting at a publicly traded company.
• Proven ability to design and implement accounting processes and internal controls.
• Experience leading a team through monthly closes and regulatory reporting.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, FloQast, and Google Suite; able to streamline close workflows.
• Responsible use of AI with human oversight to drive efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own review and approval of monthly financing accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Build scalable financial processes and SOPs to support SOX compliance.
• Lead monthly close, quarterly reporting, and annual audit readiness with your team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on SEC regulations and lending practices; translate into accounting guidance.
• Design and implement new controls for platform and brokerage accounting aligned with business growth.
