Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking an Area Schedule Analyst to coordinate and schedule transmission activities on capital projects using Primavera P6 and CPM techniques. The role develops and maintains project schedules, ensures alignment with budgets, and works with project teams to synchronize timelines, resources, and deliverables in Atlanta, GA.

The analyst leads scheduling discussions, prepares reports, tracks progress, identifies risks, and supports best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Experience in project scheduling using Primavera P6 and CPM methodologies.
• Demonstrated collaboration with diverse teams to achieve project goals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other project management software.
• PMP, PMI-SP, or related certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Apply CPM techniques to analyze and optimize schedules and identify risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather scheduling information.
• Provide timely schedule updates, forecasts, and reports to teams and management.
• Lead schedule review meetings and address scheduling issues or changes.
• Monitor progress and performance against the schedule; recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure schedule data is integrated into project management systems.
• Support scheduling best practices and standards across projects.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and presentations.
• Provide training on scheduling tools and techniques as needed.
